The CUCO project for quantum computing in business, led by GMV, was recognized for its contribution to collaboration between scientists, universities, and businesses. The award was accepted by José Carlos Baquero, manager of GMV's Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Division.

International Partnership and J.K Barrie Awards

At National Asia-Pacific Spatial Excellence Awards (APSEA) Dinner GMV received two recognitions for our job done in the 5G Precise Positioning Testbed project: the International Partnership and the J.K Barrie Awards.

The 5G Precise Positioning Testbed project aims to demonstrate in the field the new capabilities introduced by 5G 3GPP to deliver GNSS-based high-accuracy positioning to 5G-connected devices, unlocking a plethora of commercial and consumer opportunities.

Award for CUCO Project

The CUCO project, led by GMV, has received the award for “Best Large Company Digitalization Project” at the 2022 D+I Innovation Awards presented by the EL ESPAÑOL online newspaper. This project, which is focused on researching the application of quantum computing in industries that are strategic for the Spanish economy, has been described as “the first major quantum computing project with a national, business-related scope, with the aim of advancing scientific and technological knowledge of quantum computing algorithms through public-private collaboration”.

GMV was awarded the 1st prize in the category of transport in the Smart City Poland Award competition organized by Smart City Expo Poland.

GMV received the award for the modernization of the infrastructure of bus stops in the city of Torun, where we implemented our Fleet Management System (ITS Suite) together with GMV Planner, a planning module, and a dynamic Passenger Information System. The modernization also included the delivery and installation of 73 new bus stop signs in RGB LED technology.

GMV has been awarded the ‘Smart & Safe’ prize at the 7th edition of the European Automotive Suppliers Association (CLEPA) Innovation Awards for its solution GMV GSharp.

This is a safe and precise positioning solution based on satellite navigation technologies (GNSS).

GMV has received “Best Social Action” Award from Castilla y León Económica Business Magazine.

This award recognizes the company’s commitment to promoting scientific careers and technologies, through its collaboration with several universities in the Spanish region of Castile and León and its support for the STEM Talent Girl program in the city of Valladolid, as well as the donations to the Food Bank, the campaign to support Ukraine, and collaboration with various organizations such as Fundación Prodis, among others.

The overarching idea is to search by means of artificial intelligence for any correlations between COVID-19 spread and environmental parameters

It will help decision-making in terms of protection measures and lockdown, while also vetting the efficiency of the measures taken

GMV’s platform, developed with collaboration of Universidad Politécnica de Valencia will be based on satellite navigation data for science



GMV will be taking part in 4 of the 16 projects selected in the first call of the European Commission’s European Defence Industrial Development Programme (EDIDP)

The four projects between them add up to 155 million euros, accounting for over 50% of the total budget

GMV’s participation focuses on areas where it has built up a wealth of expertise and international experience, such as command and control, navigation, unmanned vehicles and cyberdefense



GMV will take charge of the command and control and C4ISR interoperability system under the Integrated Modular Unmanned Ground System (iMUGS)

iMUGS is one of the projects funded under the European Commission’s EDIDP 2019-2020 program

In this project GMV will be drawing on its vast experience in command and control and C4ISR interoperability systems



Covclear helps to make sure offices will be a safer workplace without endangering the health of employees

La app has been developed in collaboration with privacy experts and drawing on GMV’s security expertise to make sure all data is duly protected

The app springs from the company’s own needs and is now being launched on the strength of its previous experience in the development of technology and mobile apps



The SENDA navigation system is GMVs’ advanced navigation and timing solution for naval systems

The agreement between the three firms comes under the industrial plan coordinated by the Spanish MoD

Following Spain’s membership of the NGWS/FCAS project, the three companies will be joining efforts to coordinate national participation in the Remote Carrier Technology Pillar, taking up pole position in the Next Generation Weapon System (NGWS)

LUPIN is a navigation system similar to GPS, which will provide a navigation tool similar to Google Maps for users such as rovers and astronauts

Existing lunar navigation capabilities have significant limitations: spacecraft and rovers cannot accurately determine their location in real time, but must instead rely upon internal calculations and data sent from Earth

 This technology will allow more agile and intelligent mobility on the Moon

This new vision will not only transform how vehicles are designed and manufactured, but also how consumers perceive and use them throughout their lifecycle

Software-defined vehicles (SDVs) open up fresh business opportunities and revenue streams for automakers

Leading industry brands are already collaborating with tech companies like GMV to develop this new breed of vehicles, which are, at their core, complex technological platforms

GMV’s SAE-R® railway automatic vehicle location (CAD/AVL) system will be implemented in 20 double-cab trains of Metro Line 80, also known as Ecociudad’s Line E

With this project, Metro de Medellín joins the distinguished list of urban railway authorities and operators that rely on SAE-R®, such as the trams of Sydney, Warsaw, and Barcelona

Determining this type of pathology is not easyas medical images often show overlapping features between different diseases, making interpretation difficult

The simulator will use advanced computed tomography (CT) image analysis, enabling the AI to accurately identify all visible patterns on x-ray images related to Diffuse Interstitial Lung Disease

EUSPA has awarded GMV a new framework contract to support the evolution of the Galileo Reference Centre (GRC)

The new V2 version will incorporate several new features, including real-time monitoring and the ability to monitor new Galileo system services

The contract awarded includes the integration and deployment of an advanced simulator for orbital mechanics training, with GMV also providing maintenance and instructions on use

This project strengthens GMV’s leadership in the development and integration of space surveillance, command, and control systems for both civilian and military applications in Europe

This project cements GMV´s leadership in the provision of advanced satellite control solutions and reinforces its reputation as a trusted partner in the global space industry

This center will provide critical capability for the real-time monitoring, command, and control of satellite assets

The new control center will incorporate the latest advancements in automation and operations optimization to ensure the highest levels of reliability, resilience, and operational efficiency

GENIUS brings together 18 European entities to tackle critical challenges posed by Improvised Explosive Devices, Unexploded Ordnance, and landmines

 GMV will lead the design of the C2 command and control system, integrating unmanned platforms, sensors, effectors, and infantry systems

GENIUS is one of eight projects awarded to GMV in the latest European Defence Fund tenders

TARTAGLIA, a project launched three years ago to transform clinical and healthcare research in Spain through Artificial Intelligence, has yielded promising outcomes 

 The Health Informatics Society (SEIS) has recognized these research achievements with an honorary mention at its National Awards 

The research has achieved a high level of technological maturity (TRL7), confirming its readiness for real-world implementation
