GMV was recognized at the 10th edition of the Excellence Awards by the German Chamber of Commerce in Spain (AHK).

GMV was given the award in the “Responsible Industry, Innovation and Production” category, for its commitment to technological innovation and progress, highlighting the sustainability-related projects MySustainableForest, which has a portfolio of products and services related to responsible forest management, and FirEUrisk, for the evaluation and reduction of risk of forest fires in Europe and adaptation to future fire regimens. GMV to set up its inhouse railway fleet-management system, SAE-r®, for Philippine National Railways (PNR)

The project will provide PNR with an all-in railway-fleet operation, management and planning system

The SAE-r® platform will keep track of the position and state of each train while also recording any fleet incidents

U-Space is the set of new services and procedures designed to guarantee safe and secure airspace access for unmanned aircrafts

The number of civil unmanned aircrafts making use of the airspace is expected to soar in the mid- to long-term, making it urgent to set up an all-in drone traffic management system

It is estimated that Spain will have a fleet of 51,400 professional drones by 2035, making the sector one more mobility and transport factor to be taken into account

ALSA, Spain’s leading road passenger transport operator, in a joint venture with the local firm CITYBUS TRANSPORT, has been awarded the concession for running Rabat’s urban transport service

GMV has been chosen for supplying the fare-collection, fleet-management and passenger-information systems

GMV’s smart systems will be set up in an initial 350-vehicle fleet to be enlarged to 500 over the coming years



The consortium made up by GMV, VVA and FADA-CATEC will lead Galileo and EGNOS services for operations with uncrewed aircraft (RPASs, UAVs and drones)

The purpose of the tests was to gauge the potential drone performance of European navigation systems (Galileo and EGNOS) for air traffic management and for typical applications in various environments

The trials show that Galileo comes up with a better response than America’s GPS and also that EGNOS’s corrections improve GPS accuracy down to less than one meter

GMV has won the competition and subsequent contract for the Coalition Shared Data (CSD) Services Enduring Solution project, which upgrades the MAJIIC2 program results to an operational state

The aim of CSD is to maximize the use and interchange of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) resources by NATO member states

The company has been awarded a new contract for the development, deployment, support to commissioning and optionally maintenance of a new version of the data generator for the Galileo High Accuracy Service (HAS) by EUSPA.

Galileo is the first global satellite navigation system to offer free real-time high accuracy positioning corrections to all users.

The new version of the data generator will enhance performance both globally and regionally in Europe and increase user security and confidence in the service through a new authentication feature.

During his visit to the Spanish multinational technology company’s facilities, His Majesty had the opportunity to explore some of GMV’s most iconic and innovative projects

 

The visit concluded with King Felipe VI signing the company’s Book of Honor and posing for a photo with a large group of employees

These new services of the Galileo system will make it possible to send alert messages directly to the population's cell phones in disaster situations, even when mobile networks or other terrestrial systems are not available as of 2026

The alert messages will include information on the type of hazard, its severity, time of onset, expected duration, and the area affected

The new services will complement existing warning systems and will aim to increase the resilience and safety of European citizens in the event of all types of natural and man-made disasters

The Spanish Marine Infantry Brigade (BRIMAR) was present in Seeker UAS operations in adverse weather conditions. BRIMAR tested the system’s capabilities in strong winds and heavy rain.

FASTNAV (Multi-range Navigation for Fast Moon Rovers) has developed and demonstrated a navigation solution for rovers capable of reaching speeds of 1 m/s, a new milestone for future Lunar Exploration

Led by GMV and funded by the European Space Agency (ESA) under the General Support Technology Program (GSTP), and supported by the UK Space Agency (UKSA)

This advancement enhances scientific performance and productivity in space exploration missions with significant potential applications in complex terrestrial safety critical environments, such as rescue operations, mining, nuclear and infrastructure monitoring

The project is a milestone in the modernization of Spain’s critical infrastructure, which will improve the operational capacity of the National Security System

The project incorporates GMV’s latest big data and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies

The CyberCUBE mission is a bold step forward in ESA’s efforts to safeguard its space infrastructure

The GMV-led consortium, which includes GMV’s teams in Romania and Spain, along with Alén Space will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of the CyberCUBE mission

Incorporation of the European Union’s Directive on Equal Pay and Pay Transparency in 2024, pursuant to the Spanish government’s Regulatory Plan

This regulation means that EU companies will be required to justify wage differences between men and women equal to or greater than 5%, inform the authorities of wage gap ratios and explain their wage policy to their workforce

Following the award of a contract last year to improve the S3TOC’s computing capabilities, GMV has successfully delivered the solution and is now starting to enhance the DPC and analysts’ room

GMV is also leading a study to analyze the future version of the S3TOC system

The framework contract is valued at 35 million euros, with a duration of six years

The new developments will expand the responsibilities of the European GNSS Service Centre (E-GSC)

GOVSATCOM is one of the five components of the European Union's Space programme

A significant number of European space companies are participating in the contract, with major contributions from GMV, Indra, and Hisdesat as the core team members

The contract has a budget of €107M, with a planned duration of about three years

This contract further strengthens the presence of GMV at the highest level of visibility and responsibility within the European Union's Space programme

 

The SIRTAP remotely piloted aircraft is designed for advanced intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions of the Army and the Air and Space Forces

It has consolidated GMV's position as a national leader in the development of navigation systems for defense systems

In addition to developing the navigation system, GMV will also develop the front-view camera used for taxiing, takeoff and landing operations
