The event, held for the first time this year, focused on the critical role of the operator-supplier relationship in industrial environments. In his remarks, Hormigo stressed the importance of supplier involvement, from the initial stages of contracts to crisis management processes, as well as the need to establish clear exit mechanisms in managed services. He also emphasized that supply chain risk mitigation requires a holistic approach combining technology, governance and shared responsibility among the stakeholders. The conversation, involving professionals such as Carlos Asún (CISO, Food Delivery Brands), José Luis Gallego (ICSO, Moeve Chemical), Eva Fernández (ICSO, Urbaser), Antonio Martínez (CISO, Metro de Madrid), Nieves Gutiérrez (ICSO, Campofrío), José Enrique Martínez (CISO, Saica), Paula Ejarque (ICSO, Saica), Javier del Nido (CISO, Exolum), and Álvaro Raimúndez (ICSO, GEA Group), addressed key challenges such as micro-segmentation, network visibility, access control in OT environments, and the limited maturity of certain manufacturers at the moment. The general consensus was that advanced technologies, from micro-segmentation to secure remote access management, play an essential role in minimizing the cyberattack surface area. However, their effectiveness depends on a strong, shared cybersecurity culture and the active involvement of all players in the supply chain. In this context, GMV’s participation as a co-sponsor and Miguel Hormigo’s contributions reinforced the importance of moving towards structured collaboration models between manufacturers, operators, and technology suppliers.
