GMV-CERT is part of several national and international networks, including Spain’s National SOC Network and FIRST, and was recently selected by the European Commission as one of the companies included in its Cybersecurity Reserve, aimed at strengthening Europe’s collective defense against current cyberthreats. This recognition underscores GMV’s commitment to global cooperation in incident response and to promoting information sharing among allies to counter continuous cyberattacks.Commitment to the region GMV’s strong commitment to Castile and León is reflected in its sustained investment in infrastructure and talent in Valladolid, where advanced technologies for digital detection and defense are developed. This center not only enhances GMV’s response capability against cyberthreats but also drives the creation of high-value employment, bringing together professionals specialized in engineering, digital forensics, threat intelligence, secure software development, and cybersecurity product solutions. It is also a model of quality employment: 80% of roles are in engineering and 99% of the workforce holds permanent contracts. According to Patricia Tejado, Director of Digital Public Services at GMV’s Secure e-Solutions,“Cybersecurity is one of the key enablers of every administration’s digital transformation. Castile and León is becoming a recognized technology hub, and GMV is proud to contribute to this growth from its CERT in Valladolid.”With a focus on continuous improvement and technological agility, GMV-CERT stands as a cornerstone of the secure digital ecosystem in Spain and across Europe. Its presence in Valladolid embodies a blend of innovation, skilled employment, and regional commitment, values that place GMV at the forefront of global cyber defense.
