The 5th Children’s Space Congress brings space science to 615 students

The 5th Children’s Space Congress was held on October 7, with 615 sixth-grade students in attendance. GMV took part in the initiative, organized by Women in Aerospace Europe (WIA-E) as part of World Space Week, promoted by the United Nations.

Held in Tres Cantos, a municipality in the Madrid region (Spain), the event featured two sessions of talks by women engineers. GMV’s contribution focused on the risks posed by space debris and how the company’s technology helps coordinate space traffic.

GMV supports science and technology outreach initiatives for young people to spark their interest in these fields. As a WIA-E member since 2021, GMV also supports the European organization’s efforts to increase women’s representation in these areas.
