The event, a benchmark gathering for the sector, was opened by Jorge Paradela, Andalusia’s Regional Minister of Industry, Energy and Mines and president of ADA, together with Málaga Mayor Francisco de la Torre, reinforcing the region’s position as a strategic cybersecurity hub.Within this context, GMV focused on the evolution of cybersecurity toward more collaborative models in response to the challenges posed by increasing interconnection among organizations, sectors, and countries.During the congress, Ángel García-Madrid Velázquez, Head of Resilience and Business Continuity Services at GMV, highlighted the importance of protecting critical infrastructure to ensure the continuity of essential services such as energy, water, gas, and food supply. García-Madrid emphasized that cybersecurity must be approached from a global perspective, taking into account the interdependence among the various stakeholders that make up modern value chains. The European NIS2 Directive addresses this scenario by extending cybersecurity obligations to new sectors and stakeholders while promoting a common coordination framework among countries to strengthen resilience and ensure the continuity of essential services. In line with this framework, GMV presented its Comprehensive Cluster Protection Model (CCPM), an approach based on cooperation among companies, suppliers, and public administrations to enhance the resilience of the entire ecosystem. The model proposes structuring cybersecurity within sector-based environments — industrial, logistics, or territorial — where different stakeholders can share information, capabilities, and incident response mechanisms. As an evolution of this approach, GMV introduces the concept of a “cyber district,” designed to facilitate coordination among the different parties involved and support compliance with the requirements established by the NIS2 Directive. The model also includes the implementation of shared services such as threat intelligence platforms, early warning systems, and backup communication solutions, with the aim of improving incident response capabilities. As a key player in the fields of cybersecurity and resilience, GMV brings more than 30 years of experience at a crucial time for adaptation to the new European regulatory framework.More info:Marketing and ComunicaciónGMV Secure e-Solutions[email protected] Share Related AeronauticsDefense and SecuritySpaceCybersecurity AED Days 2026 27 May - 29 May SpaceCybersecurity News GMV embraces space innovation through its participation in ESAW 2026 Cybersecurity 6th STIC Conference & RootedCON Congress 2026 27 May - 29 May
