The event brought together key organizations in the intelligent transportation systems (ITS) field from both the public and private sectors, further establishing itself as a leading gathering for knowledge transfer within the industry.GMV was represented at several sessions during the three-day congress. Carlos Barredo, head of GMV’s Aftermarket and Automotive R&D sections, participated in the “ITS Smart Cities II” session with the paper “Time reduction and service improvement: experiences with traffic-light priority systems” and in the “Autonomous and Connected Mobility” session, together with Globalvia, with the paper “Proofs of concept of C-ITS use cases in Globalvia: connectivity and safety in real environments using C-V2X communications.”Meanwhile, GMV Project Manager Javier Álvarez participated in the “Ticketing in Public Transportation II EMV” session with his paper “EMV implementation in public transportation: the integrator’s perspective in the case of the CRTM.” GMV Project Manager Jaime Sanz then participated in the “ITS in Public Transportation I” session with the paper "Centralized mobility platforms: unifying ticketing and CAD/AVL for authorities and operators.”Carlos Busnadiego, head of GMV’s Automotive Products and Processes section, closed out the round of presentations with his participation in the “ITS in Public Transportation II” session, where he discussed “Improving onboard safety by integrating in-cabin intelligence systems with CAD/AVL platforms in public transportation.”GMV was also an event sponsor and had a stand in the exhibition area, sharing its ITS solutions and its expertise in technologies applied to a more intelligent, secure, connected, and efficient mobility model. By participating in the event, GMV reaffirmed its role within the sector at a time when the emergence of artificial intelligence and the development of data spaces are marking a turning point in transportation planning, management, and optimization.
