visita ALCE

On 13 May, GMV welcomed a delegation from the Latin American and Caribbean Space Agency (ALCE), led by its secretary general, Óscar Fredy González Rivera, to the company’s headquarters in Madrid. The meeting focused on sharing capabilities and analyzing possible opportunities for collaboration in the space sector. The delegation was accompanied by Jorge Sánchez Cataño, head of International Cooperation and Education at the Mexican Embassy in Spain, and Carlos García Sacristán, head of International Relations at the Spanish Space Agency (AEE).

During the visit, ALCE representatives had the opportunity to get a first-hand look at some of GMV’s key technological capabilities and space projects. The visit included a corporate presentation by Miguel Ángel Molina, director of GMV’s Space Council, and a presentation by Enrique Fraga, general manager of Space Systems at GMV, on the company’s work in the space sector. Additionally, there was a presentation on the capabilities of Alén Space, a GMV group company specializing in microsatellite development.

The agenda also included a presentation on ALCE as an institution, followed by an exchange of views on possible avenues for future collaboration, especially in strategic areas linked to space, technological innovation, and the development of regional capabilities within ALCE’s sphere of activity.

The visit concluded with a tour of various GMV facilities, including the Multimission Room, the Navigation Laboratory and the Space Robotics and Avionics laboratories. During the tour, the delegation was able to learn about various technologies and developments in relation to cutting-edge satellite navigation services, space robotics systems, and solutions for small satellites.
