AED Days 2026

GMV participated in AED Days 2026, an international event held from 27 to 29 May in Oeiras and Cascais (Portugal), bringing together key players from the aeronautics, space and defence sectors. This year's edition expanded its programme with conferences, networking activities and a large exhibition area aimed at fostering business opportunities and direct engagement between companies, institutions and decision-makers.

The third edition of AED Days also introduced new thematic initiatives, including the Defence Industry Forum, dedicated exclusively to the defence sector; Space² Dialogues, promoted by the Portuguese Space Agency to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the space industry; and the AeroFuture Forum, focused on sustainable aviation, advanced air mobility and airports.

Within the Space² exhibition area, GMV showcased some of its most innovative solutions in the fields of resilient navigation, earth observation, and space systems, while also taking part in numerous B2B meetings. Highlights included the PfA mock-up developed as part of the Celeste IOD in-orbit demonstration mission, the srx10i interference detection system, and ASGARD, GMV’s maritime receiver supporting OSNMA. The company also presented an interactive simulator of the LUS-222 aircraft, demonstrating Portuguese technology for mission systems, flight planning and support for aeronautical operations.

GMV also contributed to the conference programme through Andrés Juez, GMV´s Satellite Navigation Systems European GNSS Head, who was invited to take part in the panel discussion “The next space frontier: opportunities, readiness and growth”, where he shared his perspective on the challenges and opportunities that will shape the next phase of growth in the space industry.
