The Minister of Mobility and Digital Transformation of Castilla y León acknowledges GMV's contribution to digital defense
GMV consolidates its position as a national and international leader in cybersecurity with the institutional visit of José Luis Sanz Merino, Minister of Mobility and Digital Transformation of the Regional Government of Castile and León, to GMV's CERT in Valladolid, one of the company's three Incident Response Teams worldwide.
Since its creation in 2005, the GMV-CERT (Computer Emergency Response Team) has provided managed cybersecurity services to public and private organizations in more than 40 countries, protecting critical infrastructure and digital assets against increasingly complex threats.
The center in Boecillo (Valladolid) is part of an international network along with Madrid and Bogotá, where more than 130 specialized professionals work under the highest standards of quality, security, and service continuity.
The GMV-CERT offers a comprehensive, 360° managed information security service, operating 24/7, that combines reactive services (incident management, vulnerability assessment, and forensics) with proactive services (audits, penetration testing, threat intelligence, threat hunting, and advanced counterintelligence).
Among its capabilities, the use of proprietary technology stands out, such as Gestvul, comprehensive vulnerability management tool, and its integration into national networks, such as the National network of SOCs and international networks such as FIRST, which guarantee global cooperation in incident response.
Investing in the Region
GMV's commitment to Castile and León is reflected in its continued investment in infrastructure and talent in Valladolid, where advanced digital detection and defense technologies are being developed. This center not only strengthens the response capacity to cyber threats but also drives the creation of high-value-added jobs, with highly qualified professionals in engineering, forensics, threat intelligence, and security software development. These are quality jobs, with 80% in engineering roles and 99% with permanent contracts.
According to Patricia Tejado, Director of Digital Public Services at GMV's Secure e-Solutions division, “Cybersecurity is one of the keys to sustainable digital transformation. Castile and León is consolidating its position as a leading technology hub, and GMV is proud to contribute to this through its CERT in Valladolid.”
With a focus on continuous improvement and technological flexibility, GMV-CERT represents an essential pillar of the secure digital ecosystem in Spain. Its presence in Valladolid symbolizes the combination of innovation, skilled employment and territorial commitment, values that place GMV at the forefront of cyber defense on a global scale.
