(ALSA Group), the operator of Granada’s urban bus network, to expand the onboard ticket validation system across its fleet, with the support of Granada City Council. The contract builds on a partnership that began in 2021 with the deployment of GMV’s ticketing and computer-aided dispatch / automatic vehicle location (CAD/AVL) systems. The expansion follows the successful implementation of the solution introduced by GMV, which has been in operation since 2022. The ticketing system currently enables fare validation at the front-door validators using Granada Transport Consortium cards, Granada City Council transit cards, QR codes generated through ALSA’s mobile app, and EMV payment methods.Under the new contract, GMV will install an additional 258 TV100 validators at the middle and rear doors of the buses. This will allow passengers to board through any door, speeding up boarding and improving the overall efficiency of the service.Designed, developed, and manufactured entirely by GMV, the TV100 is one of the project’s core technological components. The device combines robustness with versatility, supporting both fare validation and payment using physical or digital bank cards, as well as mobile phones. The new validators are already in operation on Line 4 (Chana–Zaidín). The rollout will continue across the rest of Granada’s urban bus fleet, with full deployment scheduled for completion by mid-2027.
