GMV drives digital transformation of passenger transportation at FIAA 2026

The International Bus and Coach Trade Fair (FIAA) took place at IFEMA Madrid from September 22 to 25, bringing together manufacturers, operators, public authorities, and technology providers to showcase the latest innovations in mobility, digitalization, and sustainable transportation.

Attendees included professionals from transit operators, government agencies, manufacturers, and companies specializing in technology solutions for the sector. The program addressed the main challenges facing passenger transportation, with a particular focus on technologies designed to improve operational efficiency, safety, connectivity, and the passenger experience.

GMV presented its capabilities in intelligent public transportation management, fleet optimization, passenger information, and connected mobility. At its stand, visitors learned about its ITS SUITE, an advanced, open, and interoperable platform that serves as the backbone for intelligent transportation systems.

GMV also showcased some of its key onboard equipment, including DTD200, an all-in-one solution for onboard systems; TV100 ticket validator, deployed across most concessions operated under the Madrid Regional Transport Consortium (CRTM); and EP200, an onboard computer integrated into the multi-fleet system of Barcelona’s Metropolitan Transport Authority (ATM).

In addition, the company took part in the session “The Connected Future of Transport: Technology, Connectivity and Artificial Intelligence” on September 24. Beatriz García Navarro, Head of the Tier-1 Division in GMV’s Automotive Business Unit, joined the panel discussion, which explored the use of artificial intelligence in fleet management, advanced connectivity, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and cybersecurity.
