GMV brings Earth Observation data processing to AWS Marketplace

GMV has launched its first as-a-service data processing framework for Earth observation satellite constellations as part of EOP-LABS, an ESA InCubed-funded project.

GMV Prodigi^® delivers a powerful and sophisticated payload data ground segment (PDGS) solution through a simplified, autonomous cloud-based approach. Available through Amazon Web Services (AWS) Marketplace, customers can procure, deploy, and operate the system independently, avoiding the lengthy procurement and integration processes typically associated with hardware and software infrastructures.

The solution’s cloud-native architecture enables seamless scalability through the flexible use of AWS services. Simple configuration changes allow the platform to automatically allocate and activate the resources required for each mission scenario, significantly reducing operational complexity and deployment effort.

Thanks to its flexible and robust processor integration capabilities, together with its ability to define and implement processing chains, GMV Prodigi^® can support fully operational processing chains and the research and development of new Earth observation processors and applications.

This versatility makes it suitable for a broad range of mission profiles and innovation activities.

GMV Prodigi^® is already being used by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (UAE) to orchestrate and deliver final products for the MBZ mission, as well as in AIR4HEALTH, a public health service initiative. In the latter case, the framework demonstrates how scientific developments can rapidly evolve from early-stage concepts to fully operational, robust services that benefit both citizens and public health management institutions.

More broadly, GMV’s service helps democratize Earth observation, enabling new sectors to explore space-based products and services that have traditionally seemed beyond their reach.

For GMV, this also represents a significant milestone, as GMV Prodigi^® is the company’s first solution made available through AWS Marketplace, paving the way for future cloud-based offerings.
