Summer Course on Artificial Intelligence at Menéndez Pelayo International University

From July 16th to 18th, Menéndez Pelayo International University (UIMP), located in Santander, Spain, will be offering a summer course entitled “Deployment of Artificial Intelligence in Spain: Strategic positioning and practical application for companies and public administration”. The course is being organized by the Spanish State Secretariat for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence.

This course will bring together leading experts from the public and private sectors to analyze the key role that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is now playing in the transformation of organizations, as well as its impact on production operations and modernization of public administration.

One of the invited speakers will be Luis Fernando Álvarez-Gascón, who is GMV’s General Manager for Secure e-Solutions. On July 17th from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, he will be taking part in the roundtable discussion entitled “How can AI help provide us with a competitive edge in the main sectors of the Spanish economy?” In this session, use cases involving AI and its application in various types of business and governmental contexts in Spain will be discussed, with an emphasis on real experiences that are laying out a path towards intelligent and responsible use of digitalization.
