GMV took part in the 16th International Fair of Public Transport TRANSEXPO, held in October in the Polish city of Kielce. Around 4,000 visitors attended the event, which has a long track record as a showcase for worldwide launches in the public transportation sector.

GMV’s stand featured its new solutions for integrated fare collection and payment using QR codes, contactless cards and EMV payment cards. These solutions integrate high-level technology that makes it possible for passengers to register their presence on board by simply tapping a payment card or NFC-enabled mobile device, for which secure tokenization mechanisms are used to log card numbers.

GMV also showed off its EcoDriving solution for real-time monitoring of driving quality; its ITS Suite fleet management solution, which can be integrated into systems running on local IT infrastructure or in the cloud; and its GMV Planner tool for the integrated management of transportation service planning and operation tasks.

GMV intelligent transportation systems are currently being used by over 300 public transportation operators and managers across 35 countries. GMV’s control and ticketing systems handle around 4 million contactless card taps worldwide every day. In Poland, GMV’s innovative solutions are helping to overcome the challenges facing the sector in cities such as Warsaw, Szczecin, Tri-City (Gdańsk, Gdynia, and Sopot), Bydgoszcz, Toruń, and Nowy Sącz.
