GMV gave the Cybersecurity Award of Computing to BBVA

On the 9th of June, the major players from the digital transformation have been recognized during the gala of the "II Awards of the Digital Era", which Computing held at the Hippodrome de la Zarzuela in Madrid. 

GMV has been commissioned to give BBVA with one of the most important awards of the day for their projects on Cybersecurity. With this award, GMV has recognized BBVA to encourage and promote the use of information technology to establish a secure service for their customers, fighting one of the main threats of the banking sector.

Luis Fernando Álvarez-Gascón, Director General of GMV Secure e-Solutions, gave the award to Jose Ignacio Garrido González, Head of BBVA CERT Cybersecurity and Fraud Monitoring and Response, for its strategy to prevent fraud through the techniques of Ciberanalytics that allows the company to reduce the risk anticipating the response to cyber incidents.

Within the "II Awards Digital Era", as well as BBVA other companies have been awarded: Iberdrola (Security and Compliance in the Digital Transformation), Telefónica (Transformation of the Network and Digital Transformation in Telecommunications), Yoigo (Scanning Management of Customer Care), Pernod Ricard (Digital Workplace), Godó Group (Big Data), Banco Santander (Banking as a Service), SERMAS (Modernization of Data Center), the Institute of Foreign Trade-ICEX (Digital Transformation), Leroy Merlin (International Initiative of Transformation), ONCE (Technological Innovation in the Social Field) and AEAT (Scanning of Public Administration).
