"Award to the best ideas of 2011" of Diario Médico for a project developed by GMV

The Oficina 2.0 project, carried out by GMV for the Regional Health Ministry of Valencia, has won one of the “Best Ideas of 2011 Prizes” awarded by the healthcare journal Diario Médico. This prize scheme recognizes special contributions made by professionals, institutions and firms to help improve healthcare and medicine over the previous year.

In these tenth awards the Oficina 2.0 project was the prizewinner in the “Management” category. The aim of this project is to develop the whole citizen-communication potential of the new technologies to furnish both organizations and healthcare professionals with working tools and communication channels based on web technology.

This ambitious project, carried out by GMV, aims to cover all the technological aspects and then take it much further to set up a whole new set of communication outlets. A multidisciplinary Think Tank called “Consejo de Estrategia” has been set up, comprising communication experts (community managers, wise pens, designers) and experts in Health 2.0, all of whom will periodically input their own strategic vision of the best way of setting up and running Oficina 2.0.
