GMV collaborates in the Practical Guide for constructing an Industrial Cybersecurity Management System

The business model supporting industrial processes is now right in the middle of a digital transformation. The purpose of this model is to ensure industrial organizations are competitive, achieving greater flexibility in production as well as sustainability or resilience by optimizing resources and the capability of recovering from disasters and alterations in operation.

Mindful of the ongoing development we are currently immersed in and the associated challenges, the Industrial Cybersecurity Center (Centro de Ciberseguridad Industrial: CCI) and the International Society of Automation (ISA) have drawn up a “Guide for setting up an Industrial Cybersecurity Management System (ICMS)”. This guide lays down the necessary guidelines for an efficient, effective and ongoing treatment of availability-, integrity- and confidentiality-risks related to operations and information managed by industrial systems, all in keeping with the particular organization’s strategic needs and in compliance with the standards ISO 27001 and IEC 62443.

Javier Zubieta, Marketing and Communications manager of GMV’s Secure e-Solutions sector, has helped to draw up this guide together with a team of cybersecurity experts. In his own words, the result of this work “brings in the necessary requisites for driving industrial cybersecurity, from the design of technologies in their new architectures and also their management to support interoperability between operation and information systems that are adopting an Industry 4.0 model”.
