GMV showcases robotics and automation solutions for the food industry at Alimentaria FoodTech

GMV attended Alimentaria FoodTech 2026, held on October 6 to 8 at Fira de Barcelona, where it presented its robotics and automation solutions and services for the food industry.

During the trade fair, visitors had the opportunity to see a robot in action integrated with uPathWay®, GMV’s intelligent platform for planning, deploying, monitoring, and coordinating missions involving different types of robots and autonomous vehicles through a unified interface. The live demonstrations illustrated how this technology streamlines the coordinated management of robotic systems and supports their use in industrial environments.

GMV was also represented by Ángel C. Lázaro, head of Robotics and Automation for GMV’s Industry Sector, in the panel discussion “From Production Line to Data: Robotics, Physical AI, and Digitalization in the Food Industry.” The discussion covered the role of smart sensors and IO-Link technology, manufacturing execution systems (MES), production planning, mobile robotics, and physical AI.
