GMV demonstrates the future of robotics and industrial automation at Advanced Manufacturing Madrid event

During the two-day event, GMV’s representatives were present at the company’s joint stand with AER Automation, where they showcased various types of robotics and industrial automation projects. They also offered live demonstrations with a quadruped robot, so visitors could get a first-hand look at operation of GMV’s uPathWay solution. This is the company’s platform for managing and integrating fleets of mobile robots in complex operating environments, even if the robots are made by different manufacturers.

The solution makes it possible to coordinate real-time performance of autonomous tasks, and it can facilitate automation of operations and maintenance activities in industries such as energy and petrochemicals, among other potential uses. Its versatility also allows adaptation for use in logistics operations, such as with autonomous last-mile delivery, and in any environment where collaboration among multiple robots can result in improved efficiency and operational safety. Some of its other main benefits include reducing human exposure to hazardous or difficult-to-access environments, and optimizing decision-making through advanced analytics and data centralization.

Ángel C. Lázaro, Head of Robotics and Automation for GMV’s Industry sector, also participated in a roundtable discussion moderated by Álex Salvador of AER Automation, along with representatives from ABB, YASKAWA, and KUKA. In his presentation, he shared some success stories and strategies for implementing new technologies in industrial environments, as part of a discussion that emphasized the role of automation as a driver of Industry 5.0, innovation, efficiency, and sustainable growth.
