Lot 1, awarded to GMV, covers the supply of hardware and software, along with services for design, installation, configuration and secure parameterization, commissioning, testing, and training.The technical scope of the contract includes the implementation of deployable nodes integrated into the Protected Core Central Infrastructure, providing distributed computing, virtualization, and secure communications capabilities. These solutions will help enhance the automation and resilience of command and control systems, which are essential to operations both within Spain and in operational theaters.Lot 1 has a budget of more than €48 million within an overall framework agreement worth over €57 million, with an initial four-year term that may be extended. This contracting arrangement will allow the Ministry of Defence to award specific contracts without launching new tender procedures, enabling faster implementation.For GMV, the award further strengthens its position as a leading technology provider in the defence and security sector and solidifies its role in the Armed Forces’ digital transformation and modernization programs. It also provides an opportunity to continue developing advanced solutions in tactical deployment, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and mission systems—all key areas in today’s defence landscape.
