Defence, security, and technological innovation at the heart of GMV’s participation in Madrid Investment Forum

The third Madrid Investment Forum took place from September 28 to 30 under the theme “It’s abierto, it’s Madrid region.” Organized by the Community of Madrid, the forum brought together participants at several locations across the region to create business opportunities and attract investment to a range of strategic sectors.

GMV took part on September 29 during a day of activities hosted by Tres Cantos City Council at the Adolfo Suárez Cultural Center. Ricardo Sáenz Amandi, Defence and Security General Manager at GMV, joined the panel discussion “Madrid: talent, industry, and technology serving defence and security,” where he shared his perspective on the growth of both sectors and the role of Tres Cantos as a city committed to science and innovation.

Over its three days, representatives from companies and government institutions, along with Spanish and international investors, took part in sessions held across six municipalities in the Madrid region. These covered strategic areas including artificial intelligence, data centers, logistics, biomedicine, defence and security, housing, rural tourism, and entrepreneurship. Through its participation, GMV contributed to the exchange of knowledge and experience on the role of technological innovation and public-private collaboration in driving industrial development, competitiveness, and investment.
