Share
Details
III Jornada Cátedra Smart Ports

On November 5, the Port of Castellón will host the 3rd Smart Ports Conference, focusing on advances in the Spanish port ecosystem and the challenges of digital transformation. The event is held in collaboration with the Castellón Port Authority, the Jaume I University, and the PortCastelló Foundation, with the support of Puertos del Estado and sponsored by GMV.

Ángel García-Madrid Velázquez, Head of GMV Resilience & Continuity Services, will represent GMV with the presentation “Cybersecurity and Resilience of Smart Ports: The Role of the NIS2, CER, and AI Act Directives in Protecting Ports and Surrounding Areas”.

In his presentation, Ángel will discuss how the connectivity and interdependencies of smart ports expand the attack surface and can spread the impact of an incident throughout the hinterland and throughout logistics chains. He will also discuss the role of the NIS2 and CER directives in the protection and resilience of critical infrastructure, as well as the need to promote a coordinated approach that encompasses the port and its entire ecosystem.
