The event will take place at the Adolfo Suárez Cultural Center starting at 10:30 a.m.The aim of the event is to raise public awareness about the risk of near-Earth asteroid impacts and to showcase the scientific and technological advances aimed at detecting, tracking, and mitigating potential space-borne threats. This observance, proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly, commemorates the Tunguska impact, which occurred in 1908 in Siberia and is considered the largest such event in recent history.During the event, which is free to attend until full capacity is reached, GMV will present its involvement in the European Space Agency’s Hera and RAMSES missions—two key initiatives in the international effort to develop autonomous navigation technologies and asteroid deflection systems.More info: [email protected] Details 30/06/2025 Related Space Safety News GMV participates in MILSSA 2026, Europe’s leading forum on space domain awareness Space Safety News GMV and Alén discuss the future of orbital operations at the 4S Symposium Space Safety News GMV expands its Focusear network with low-orbit surveillance capabilities
