From September 15 to 19, GMV took part in the World Satellite Business Week (WSBW), held in Paris. This event, regarded as one of the most influential strategic forums on the international space calendar, brought together industry leaders, investors, innovators, and institutional representatives to address the challenges and opportunities of an ever-evolving sector.

Enrique Fraga Moreira, General Manager of GMV’s Space Systems, participated in the roundtable Smart Ground Systems: Adapting to an Evolving Space Landscape, where he shared GMV’s vision for the future of smart ground systems, underscoring their crucial role in automation, operational resilience, and adaptation to increasingly dynamic space environments.

Parallel to WSBW, Paris also hosted the second edition of the Space Defense & Security Summit (SDSS) on September 16 and 17. Organized by Euroconsult, the summit gathered more than 300 attendees and 60 speakers from 35 countries to discuss the challenges of a space domain that is becoming both more contested and more vital for sovereignty, defense, and security.

Key topics included the need for new models of international cooperation, investment in technological and human capabilities, and the growing role of commercial systems in reshaping space defense activities. The summit convened government, military, defense industry representatives, investors, and space policy experts, consolidating its status as a key meeting point between the space and security sectors.

Miguel Ángel Molina Cobos, Deputy General Manager of Space Systems, took part in the panel Space Surveillance Soon Facing a 50,000+ Satellites' Environment, where he shared GMV’s expertise in space surveillance and highlighted the need for advanced technological solutions to manage a rapidly expanding orbital environment.

GMV’s presence at both forums underscored its role as a strategic player in designing and developing cutting-edge solutions for the control, operation, and protection of space infrastructures.
