GMV accompanies the Portuguese Minister of Education and Science on his visit to Brazil
Portugal’s Minister of Education and Science, Nuno Crato, made a three-day official visit to Brazil from 18 to 23 March on an invitation from his opposite number in Brazil. The aim of the visit was to forge closer bonds of cooperation between Brazil and Portugal and pave the way for more direct contact between the university research centers and companies of both countries.
GMV formed part of this visiting group, made up by the minister of Education and Science, the President of the Foundation for Science and Technology, Miguel Seabra, and the heads of 13 Portuguese institutions, organizations and companies.
As well as accompanying the minister in signing important education agreements, the delegation also visited various research centers, labs and leading technological firms in the space area, based in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Brasilia.
During this visit the delegation also established the first actions to be taken within the framework of a tripartite science and technical protocol signed one week earlier between Portugal, Spain and Brazil to facilitate access of Brazilian companies, researchers and students to the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL) in Braga, Portugal.
