Presentación de la Estrategia de Emprendimiento e Innovación de la Junta de Castilla y León 2027

On March 27, the Minister of Economy and Finance of the Junta de Castilla y León, Carlos Fernández Carriedo, presented in Salamanca the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Strategy of the autonomous community until the year 2027 (EEI 27). With a budget of 812.20 million euros from public contributions (450.65 million) and private investment (361.55 million), it is articulated through public-private collaboration and aims to reinforce economic growth and job creation. through specialization, innovation and entrepreneurship.

GMV participated in the event, sharing the company's commitment in this field at the open innovation discussion table and reviewing some of the projects in which it has recently led, such as Tartaglia or Agraria, promoted by SEDIA from the call for AI missions , or CUCO, within the missions of the CDTI. As Patricia Tejado, director of Digital Public Services at GMV Secure e Solutions, explained, the company invests 8% of its profits in innovation and participates in emblematic projects applying the most revolutionary technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, quantum computing... as well as in the development of solutions applied to the cybersecurity sector, key to the development of the work of its early incident response center, located in the Boecillo Technology Park.

Although the Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castilla y León (ICE) is the body that assumes the leadership of the EEI 27 through 13 programs and 46 measures, Community agents linked to innovation and development are involved in it. entrepreneurship, such as companies and private organizations related to this ecosystem. GMV's collaboration with ICE goes back many years, and as Tejado recalled, “a passion for challenges is found in our DNA, and we are just finishing one of the cybersecurity challenges promoted by ICE in collaboration with INCIBE, for “domain detection. onion in the TOR network not indexed by public sources”, a challenge that seeks to discover new hidden illegal services to improve the monitoring service and to increase knowledge of the TOR network and its users.

Among the challenges that have been defined in the EEI 27, it is worth highlighting: increasing innovative companies to maintain the dynamic business fabric and generate stable and quality jobs; drive digital transformation and sustainability; promote territorial balance and encourage internationalization and an innovative culture.

For the GMV spokesperson, the main challenges to be addressed in open innovation based on three aspects: problems-collaboration-people are: correctly identifying the problems on which to work collaboratively; the management of intellectual property and the collaboration and commitment of the members of the consortium; and the participation of professionals trained in new technologies and involved in innovation processes.

It should be noted that Castilla y León has consolidated its fifth position at the national level in technological effort-R&D expenditure over GDP and is ten points above in expenditure executed by the business sector in R&D.
