The event, organized by the Spanish Association of Defense, Security, Aeronautics and Space Technology Companies (TEDAE) with the support of the Spanish Space Agency (AEE), brought together leading institutional and industrial representatives from the national and European space ecosystem.With the theme “One Country, One Space” and over 400 participants, the conference served as a forum for analyzing the strategic, technological, and industrial challenges that will shape the future of the space sector in Europe. It addressed key issues such as strategic autonomy, security and defense, key technological capabilities, space exploration, and the major programs that will define the coming decade.On 19 May, GMV was represented by Enrique Fraga, general manager of EST Space Systems, in the round-table discussion on “Challenges and opportunities for the industry in a context of transformation and growth,” featuring representatives from the sector’s leading companies. In his remarks, he stressed the need for Europe to move towards its own space model based on strategic sovereignty, industrial collaboration, specialization, and technological competitiveness.GMV was also represented at the event by Jesús B. Serrano, GMV’s general manager, and Jorge Potti, GMV’s corporate director of Strategy and vice-president of the TEDAE’s Space section, as well as a large group of company professionals, who followed the various sessions closely and contributed to the exchange of ideas and the strengthening of relationships with representatives of the European space ecosystem.The event was also attended and supported by leading national and international authorities, including Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, who underlined Spain’s commitment to cementing its position as a European leader in the space sector; Diana Morant, minister of Science, Innovation, and Universities; Jordi Hereu, minister of Industry and Tourism; ESA Director General Josef Aschbacher; and representatives of the European Commission, EUSPA, and the Spanish Space Agency.This year’s edition once again reflected how the Spanish space industry is growing and establishing itself as a strategic sector that continues to strengthen its international positioning thanks to its technological capabilities, its commitment to innovation, and its support for new industrial and security capabilities.
