ITS in Public Transport Conference

GMV will once again participate as an event sponsor in the ITS in Public Transport Conference. It will be held on January 29, 2026, in Madrid, and is organized by ITS Spain, the Forum for New Transport Technologies. The event aims to analyze and discuss the latest trends, technological solutions, and challenges related to Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) applied to public transport. It brings together public authorities, transport operators, technology providers, and mobility experts to promote innovation, digital transformation, and sustainability in urban and metropolitan mobility.

The conference program will address key topics such as transport digitalization, interoperability of fare collection and ticketing systems, advanced fleet management, real-time passenger information, and operational efficiency. The event serves as a platform to share best practices, real-world use cases, emerging technologies, and public–private collaboration models that support the effective deployment of ITS solutions in public transport environments.

In addition, Antonio Blanco, Head of Business Development for Spain, Portugal and Morocco of GMV´s Intelligent Transportation Systems sector, will take part in the conference sessions, sharing GMV’s experience and insights into advanced ticketing, system interoperability, and ITS technologies that contribute to more efficient, sustainable, and user-centric public transport services.
