2nd Smart Ports Chair Symposium

On 5 February, GMV will be participating in the 2nd Smart Ports Chair Symposium, a key event for the future of digitalization and cybersecurity in Spanish ports.

Daniel San Martín, head of 5G Security Solutions for GMV’s Secure e-Solutions, will be sharing GMV’s strategy for guaranteeing maximum levels of cybersecurity at Puertos del Estado, the Spanish government’s port agency. He will present the company’s plan for protecting the port network and its ecosystem, ensuring a safe and resilient environment for authorities, businesses, and the general public.

The event will also explore the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the efficiency and safety of port/logistics operations. With eleven innovative projects, it will highlight the potential of AI to increase competitiveness and place Spanish ports at the cutting edge of the Smart Ports movement.

Jaime Luezas (head of the Port Community Services Department at Puertos del Estado) will give a presentation on digitalization at Spanish ports, and Daniel San Martín (GMV) will focus on the key features of the cybersecurity platform for the port system developed by the company.

The symposium will also include the presentation of six projects from the Ports 4.0 call for projects (two of them already completed) that apply AI to improve port competitiveness.
