GMV & VLCTesting, committed to Software Quality

GMV & VLCTesting, comprometidos con la Calidad del Software

One of the pillars on which GMV has based its success is the search for excellence through the development of high-quality technology that clearly focuses on client satisfaction. To this end, GMV has a team of highly-qualified experts who, through advanced tools, carry out testing, which ensures clients have quality software.

Each year the Instituto Tecnológico de Informática (ITI) organises the #VLCTesting meeting which is attended by professionals and companies with a thirst for knowledge and the desire to improve their processes, methodologies and tools, the aim being to achieve improve software development quality. GMV will attend again this year, showing its support for the ITI’s event by sponsoring and being actively involved in it, sharing its knowledge and experience in this field.

There was a full house at #VLCTesting18 where Miguel Peiró, from GMV’s QA department, gave an interesting seminar entitled “How to handle the challenge of automating GUI testing”, in which he explained how to set up a project to automate the testing of the graphic interface and the factors to be considered to ensure the project’s success. Miguel looked at the complete cycle of development of automated testing of the interface using Selenium. And after a theoretical section in which he gave an introduction to good development practices with Selenium, he moved on to a practical section in which he started with the generation of a simple project to be incorporated into the continuous integration process, which is executed by using the Selenium grid.

To close the event, Javier Garzás, professor at the Rey Juan Carlos University and an active collaborator with the community known as “Comunidad 233 Grados de TI”, was invited to talk about agile methodologies, during which he mentioned GMV’s successful involvement in a space project.
