TartaglIA reconocido por IRCAI Top100

The Tartaglia project, promoted and led by GMV, has been named as among the IRCAI Global Top 100. This is a prestigious international index published by the International Research Centre on Artificial Intelligence (IRCAI) under the auspices of UNESCO. This distinction recognizes the 100 international artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives that show the greatest potential for their social, ethical, and sustainable impact.

The Tartaglia project has achieved this distinction based on its application of artificial intelligence in clinical research, through the use of a federated health data network that makes it possible to analyze large volumes of patient information while still safeguarding their privacy. The project has been recognized for its contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially in key areas such as good health and well-being (SDG 3), gender equality (SDG 5), innovation (SDG 9), reduced inequalities (SDG 10), and sustainable cities and communities (SDG 11).

The IRCAI Global Top 100 spotlights projects that are applying artificial intelligence to generate responsible, scalable solutions that are aligned with the United Nations SDGs. Tartaglia is a project based on public-private collaboration, with the aim of accelerating clinical research through the use of AI applied to large volumes of real health-related data, with the ability to extract knowledge without compromising patient privacy.

In the words of Inmaculada Pérez Garro, GMV’s Manager of Digital Health for Secure e-Solutions, “inclusion of the Tartaglia project in the IRCAI Global Top 100 is a reflection of the commitments that GMV and its partners have made to the ethical use of artificial intelligence for the common good. This international recognition demonstrates the value of secure collaborative research, where cutting-edge technology has been applied in order to address real health challenges and enhance social well-being.” She explains that this distinction also strengthens Spain’s “leadership position for the responsible application of AI in healthcare, and it raises the country’s international visibility as a generator of innovation aligned with the SDGs.”

The appearance of Tartaglia among the IRCAI Global Top 100 demonstrates the project’s status as a leading international initiative for artificial intelligence applied in the field of health, while also enhancing its potential connections with global networks for innovation, investment, and collaboration. This recognition is also in line with GMV’s strategy, which makes the Sustainable Development Goals a part of the company’s innovation model and encourages the development of responsible technological solutions that will generate a positive impact for patients and healthcare professionals, as well as for society as a whole.
