GMV spotlights regulation, cybersecurity, and digital health at Health Revolution Congress 2026

From May 27 to 28, Barcelona hosted the latest Health Revolution Congress, one of Europe’s landmark events for digital health. This year’s theme was “Building a better future for health.” The event brought together technology companies, hospitals, and international experts to examine the impact of innovation on the transformation of healthcare systems.

GMV took part alongside EpisKey Medical Consulting in the session “Cybersecurity in Medical Devices: Your Software Doesn’t Process Data, It Treats Patients,” which focused on the real-world impact that incomplete cybersecurity strategies can have on patients and healthcare professionals.

GMV was represented by Mariano J. Benito, the company’s Cybersecurity & Privacy Ambassador, who discussed some of the main challenges associated with protecting medical devices and healthcare systems. During his presentation, he examined key issues such as identity management, information encryption, and the secure governance of clinical data, along with different approaches aimed at bolstering the security of healthcare technologies.

GMV also emphasized the importance of advancing toward cyber-resilience models supported by certifiable security processes and frameworks, such as the ISO 27001 standard and Spain’s National Security Framework (ENS), with the goal of strengthening trust and ensuring the safe, reliable adoption of digital solutions in the healthcare sector.
