GMV continues to climb up ComputerWorld’s ranking of technology firms

ComputerWorld, one of the benchmark publications of the technology sector, has published its ranking of the Premier 100 Technology Leaders

Year after year GMV has been climbing up the ranking, now standing at an excellent thirty-third place on the strength of its growth in the last financial year both in turnover (up by 10% to €125 million) and in staff numbers (rising from 1155 to 1234), according to provisional figures furnished by the company.

It would seem that after 7 years of recession Spain’s ICT sector is now picking up as the business world cottons on to the truth that technology and business must go hand in hand in the ongoing adaptation to the unstoppable digital transformation that is now underway.

In Computerworld’s view 2016 bodes well for Spain’s role in the digital transformation. No longer is it bringing up the rear; Spain now stands in pole position not only for catching the innovation train, so often missed in the past, but even for driving it onwards towards the new digital society
