GMV committed to cybersecurity

GMV’s Enrique Martín at Cybercamp 2015

For three days Madrid was the cynosure of national cybersecurity as host of Cybercamp 2015. The event is organized by the National Cybersecurity Institute (Instituto Nacional de Ciberseguridad: INCIBE) with the aim of promoting cybernetic security and attracting budding ICT talent. A brand new feature at this year’s conference was the attention given to family and internet security.

Cybercamp attracted a 10,000 turnout while another 12,000 watched it online (doubling last year’s total turnout live and by streaming). Over 100 experts and scores of specialist security firms also attended the event.

Working with the best professionals gives any firm a competitive edge so GMV is always keen to pinpoint, attract, motivate, nurture and train the best professionals. For this reason GMV formed part of this event, offering attendees the chance to find out about GMV as a fascinating option for working in a young, multidisciplinary team.

Enrique Martín Gómez, GMV’s Cybersecurity Infrastructure Project Manager, also gave a paper on “How to turn your hobby into a profession”.

This event made it crystal clear that security in internet and technology use is an ongoing concern for professionals, businessmen and the public at large
