GMV participates in the report `State of Industrial Cybersecurity in Spain 2013`

The Industrial Cybersecurity Center (Centro de Ciberseguridad Industrial: CCI) has just presented the report “State of Industrial Cybersecurity in Spain 2013”. This report gives a realistic and accurate view of the state of affairs, taking in such aspects as organization and management, technical aspects and market forecasts.

This report has been drawn up with the collaboration of some of Spain’s most important industrial-cybersecurity stakeholders, with very active participation by Javier Zubieta, GMV’s Business Development Manager for Information Security.

Industrial cybersecurity has now become one of the main security threats to industries and countries worldwide, with a big increase in incidents and a worrying trend in recent years.

GMV has now been working for some years on threat-mitigation activities. The CISIM (Critical ICT Infrastructures Simulation of Interdependency) project has recently been completed, led by GMV with the collaboration of the Information Technology and Telecommunications Center (CTTI) of the Regional Government of Catalunya (Generalitat de Catalunya) and the Universidad Politècnica de Catalunya. The aim of the project was to provide exact information on the resilience of critical-infrastructure information systems by setting up a simulation model and then developing the corresponding simulation tool.
