GMV presents the results of the Luis Valle Program

GMV has presented the final results of the Luis Valle Program, following nearly three years of work on this R&D and innovation initiative that was designed to enhance digital identity and cybersecurity in space.

An event to mark the program’s conclusion, and to present the advances achieved in this context, was recently held at GMV’s headquarters in the city of Tres Cantos near Madrid. The program was part of the Strategic Initiative for Innovative Public Procurement (IECPI) developed by Spain’s National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE).

This event also featured presentation of high-impact technological solutions that can address some of the main challenges currently facing the fields of digital security and management:

• Sovereign Digital Identity, which lets users control and manage their identities and personal data in a secure and confidential manner.
• Centro de Operaciones de Ciberseguridad (SOC) para el sector espacial, diseñado para anticipar, detectar y mitigar amenazas en infraestructuras satelitales y centros de control.

Además, la solución de Identidad Digital Soberana ha incorporado tecnologías avanzadas como las Zero Knowledge Proofs, que permiten compartir información de forma selectiva sin comprometer la privacidad, abriendo nuevas posibilidades en el ámbito de la identidad digital.

In the words of Juan Jesús León, GMV’s Manager of Products and New Development for Secure e-Solutions, “with the Luis Valle Program, we have demonstrated our ability to turn complex challenges into real technological solutions, and we have contributed innovation in key areas such as digital identity and space cybersecurity”.

He added that during the program’s final phase, “we were able to show that Sovereign Digital Identity is no longer just a concept. Instead, it is now a reality that is ready to be implemented. We have brought a complete, user-validated solution into the real environment, to give people control over their digital identities in accordance with the highest standards of security and privacy.” According to David Álvarez, Head of GMV’s Cybersecurity Solution Development Section for Secure e-Solutions and leader of the Sovereign Digital Identity component of the Luis Valle program, “by incorporating technologies like distributed key generation and zero-knowledge proof, we have taken a decisive step forward towards a more secure, private, and user-centered digital identity model”.

The program was also able to overcome challenges involving aspects such as system hardening, digital identity management, personal data privacy, and protection of complex operational environments, with all of this further solidifying GMV’s position as a leader in technological innovation. 

The Luis Valle Program has generated considerable media interest ever since the time of its initial launching, with more than 15.8 million impressions and visibility in major Spanish media sources. This reflects the growing interest in advanced cybersecurity and digital identity solutions. 

Completion of the Luis Valle Program represents a significant milestone for GMV, while also laying the foundations for further evolution of these technologies and their use in new strategic projects, to help advance the development of digital sovereignty and technological resilience throughout Europe.
