IC26 is the annual initiative led by NATO’s Allied Command Transformation to test, evaluate, and accelerate emerging technologies in the context of NATO’s operational requirements. Held in Warsaw, the IGNITE phase focused on the theme of “Digital Transformation and Multi-Domain Operations (MDO)” and brought together representatives from academia, industry, and defense research organizations in several NATO countries to explore the technologies that will enable future multi-domain operations.IGNITE marked the second phase of Innovation Continuum 2026 and focused on the design and operational definition of the scenarios selected for experimentation in the successive phases of IC26. GMV participated in this phase with Javier Sanz Albert, head of the ISR/ISTAR Division, and the technical and operational managers of this division, which is actively involved in two key areas for multi-domain integration: Next-Generation Targeting and artificial intelligence-enhanced C4ISR.The event highlighted the importance of combining technological innovation with the analysis of targeting and ISR operational processes and their associated requirements in order to accelerate the development of cutting-edge capabilities that will enable NATO and its member countries to operate successfully in multi-domain environments. The three-day event provided an opportunity for participants to exchange ideas and explore potential collaborations. GMV will also be participating in GLOW and SHINE—the third and fourth stages of IC2—which will focus on integration and validation through tests and experimentation, culminating in October 2026 with the final demonstration of technological capabilities.
