Home About GMV Get to Know the Company R&D+I Aid EROSS SC European Robotic Orbital Support Services – Servicing Component Print Share The EROSS SC project is the fourth part of the European Commission R&D agreement and it aims to demonstrate the European solutions for the Servicers and the Serviced LEO/GEO satellites, in particular, to demonstrate autonomousrendezvous and robotics technologies in space.GMV focuses on developing autonomous capabilities for the Servicer Vision System (SVS) and the Robotic Assembly System (RAS), using GMV's ESROCOS (a robotic operating system developed for spacecrafts and rovers for exploration) and GMV's ERGO (a framework for autonomy that allows for harmonizing AI components like onboard dynamic replanning capabilities and Machine learning with traditional algorithms, like GNC). Both ESROCOS and ERGO were developed in the PERASPERA SRC program of the European Union. In EROSS SC, GMV is integrating its visual-based navigation and GMV's interoperable refueling unit ASSIST, integrated with ERGO.Additionally, GMV provides Avionic Test Benches for validation and demonstration, including the Optical Lab and Platform-art. Building on the success of previous projects like ESROCOS, ERGO, and the EROSS series, EROSS SC serves as a key milestone toward commercializing a multipurpose servicer for LEO and GEO by 2028. The project is coordinated by Thales Alenia Space and involves 17 partners from 9 countries. More information Partners Funded by the European Union under the grantagreement ID 101082464.
