Innovation, space, and defense: GMV presents successful cases at InnoDays madri+d event
On November 18th, GMV participated in a workshop on security and defense organized by the madri+d Knowledge Foundation, as part of the latest InnoDays madri+d event.
InnoDays madri+d has become a leading gathering for startups, investors, corporations, and public-sector agencies, as a catalyst to promote public-private collaboration and a more technological-scientific, sustainable, and competitive economic model.
During the workshop, GMV took part in a roundtable discussion on defense applications of space technologies, where it shared its expertise and capabilities related to the space ecosystem and explained its use in security and defense programs and missions.
The company emphasized some of the main challenges that must be overcome in relation to transferring knowledge to the defense market, including the need to comply with regulatory requirements and compete in a highly specialized European market. Other issues discussed included organizational and territorial expansion and adaptation of dual-use technologies for military applications.
The workshop concluded with a series of recommendations for companies and institutions interested in operating in the defense and security fields, with an emphasis on the importance of talent, collaboration, innovation, and technological specialization.
