GMV takes part in new edtion of UITP

GMV has taken part in the 60th UITP World Congress and Mobility & City Transport Exhibition, inputting state-of-the-art technology as fruit of its ongoing investment effort. GMV keeps track of client needs in various fields (buses, trams, BRT, etc.) and is continually breaking into new areas (Asia, Africa and the Americas) by winning worldwide contracts. This has made it an international benchmark.

During this year’s congress, held in Geneva (Switzerland), GMV showcased its whole array of solutions for the transport market, such as its advanced fleet-management and passenger-information systems for urban public transport, on-demand transport schemes to improve the efficiency and profitability of public transport in rural areas, its video surveillance systems and also its electronic fare collection equipment.

As a new feature this year GMV ws presenting its electronic fare-collection equipment, connected up to external terminals for fare payment by means of EMV chip cards (Europay MasterCard VISA), either contactless, contact or the traditional swipe card.

Another of the innovations on show was the high-performance self-service ticket-vending machine TRB-311, which caters for self-service purchase of single-journey tickets onboard the vehicles, at stations and stops of any means of transport as well as the recharging of contact and contactless smartcards. The TR-311 accepts all means of payment: coins, notes and bank cards.

GMV also displayed INFO-pass, a combined text-video-audio passenger-information system, based on a full digital architecture, and DV-rec, an onboard video surveillance solution that provides security, protection against vandalism and driver’s assistance in daily operation; it meets the needs of fleets of all kinds, ranging from buses to high-speed trains and including local commuting trains and trams.
