5th ICT Security Workshops & RootedCON Congress, Panama Chapter

Under the theme of “An International Commitment to Global Cybersecurity”, the 5th ICT Security Workshops & RootedCON Congress, Panama Chapter will take place from May 21st to 23rd. These events have been organized by the National Cryptologic Center (CCN), which is part of Spain’s National Intelligence Center (CNI), in cooperation with the Joint Cyberspace Command (MCCE) and RootedCON, as representatives of Spain. The organizers representing Panama are the National Secretariat of Science, Technology and Innovation of the Republic of Panama (SENACYT) and the National Authority for Governmental Innovation (AIG).

This is one of the most important gatherings for the cybersecurity industry in Spain and Latin America, with the aim of encouraging international cybersecurity alliances, and GMV will be attending as a strategic sponsor.

GMV will have a notable presence at the event, with its own stand in the exhibition area and a presentation by Daniel San Miguel, GMV’s Head of SOC5G Execution, entitled “SOC5G: The challenges of SOCs as public-private collaborations” (May 21st at 4:10 PM, STIC Room).

In this talk he will be discussing the design and implementation of services for Spain’s 5G security operations center (SOC5G), which are focused on improving the resilience and security of the 5G networks in that country. He will also be explaining how high-value, low-intrusiveness services have been developed, which let operators reduce their risks without compromising their competitiveness or operational efficiency.
