Viladecans, hub of the debate about innovation and industry

The third industry and innovation event (IND+i), Spain’s marquee event for bringing industrial innovation trends to wider notice and debating the best innovation and competitiveness policies for tackling them, brought together companies, universities and institutions from throughout the country to discuss Spain’s unfinished business if it wants to advance towards a competitive, sustainable and innovative economy based on industry as the lever to transform the rest of the sectors.

During this event Sonia Morales, Head of Security Consultancy at GMV’s Secure e-Solutions sector, took part in IND+i Talks. The main points of her address were the evolution of information security over the last decades, cybersecurity as the key to the digitalization process and the need for a collaborative and groundbreaking strategy that enables us to protect business assets from cybercrime threats.

It is important to take into account here the evolution of traditional security systems towards new environments based on analysis and information-sharing to boost business resilience to a whole panorama of increasingly sophisticated and innovative cyberthreats, all viewed from the digital transformation process today’s organizations are undergoing.

This year’s event also debated other burning issues besides cybersecurity, such as Blockchain for smart cities and sustainable building.
