Spain joins Space Forum as guest country, with GMV taking part

On September 29, Toulouse hosted the latest Space Forum, an event organized by French newspaper La Tribune and held at Cité de l’Espace, the city’s space and astronomy center. The event brought together professionals from across the space sector to examine some of the industry’s key challenges, including increasing fragmentation, the role of artificial intelligence, resilience, and the emergence of space as a new frontier in a context marked by conflict.

Spain was this year’s guest country, with representatives from the Spanish Space Agency and Spanish companies taking part. Miguel Ángel Molina, Deputy General Manager of Space Systems at GMV, joined the panel “Spain, Europe’s New Space Conquistador,” where he highlighted GMV’s role as a space systems integrator. In particular, he discussed the company’s work in low Earth orbit positioning, navigation, and timing (LEO PNT) technologies, space domain awareness systems, in-orbit operations, and, more broadly, secure, resilient, low-latency solutions.

As a Space Forum sponsor, GMV supported a day of discussions on both challenges and opportunities in the space sector. The gathering also provided a platform to exchange perspectives on the industry’s evolution and highlighted the importance of collaboration between companies, agencies, and institutions in tackling the challenges of this increasingly strategic environment.
