GMV participates in the Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Conference

The National Critical Infrastructure Protection Center (Centro Nacional de Protección de Infraestructuras Críticas: CNPIC) and Fundación Borredá, have put on the fourth Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Conference, with the support of the trade reviews Seguritecnia and Red Seguridad and the sponsorship of GMV among other organizations.

In the cybersecurity part of the schedule Javier Zubieta, Head of Cybersecurity Business Development at GMV Secure e-Solutions, presented his view of correct vulnerability management. The expert stressed “how important and essential it is to tackle the management of cyber vulnerabilities within an integral risk-management and analysis system, ideally by delegating this potent process to a specialist service provider”.

Antonio Borredá, patron of Fundación Borredá, then moderated a panel discussion with the participation of Javier Zubieta. Among other matters of interest the panel discussed the new NIS Directive, designed to guarantee a high, EU-wide level of security in information systems and networks.

The event attracted a turnout of over 400 and dealt with a number of interesting issues ranging from the evolution of the critical infrastructure protection system to the implementation in Spain of the European NIS Directive.
