ENC2025

GMV attended yet another edition of the European Navigation Conference 2025, held from 21-23 May in the city of Wrocław, Poland. The event, organized by the Polish Navigation Forum (PNF) in collaboration with the European Group of Navigation Institutes (EUGIN) and sponsored by the European Space Agency (ESA), brought together researchers, experts and professionals from all over the world to discuss the latest navigation trends and advances.

This year's conference focused on current and future developments in navigation systems, ranging from terrestrial navigation to the most groundbreaking off-earth prospects. In this context GMV, as a key player in the field of satellite navigation, took an active part with papers and contributions in various thematic blocks.

Experts from the different GMV branches in Spain, the UK and Romania made an active contribution to the technical program with various presentations in blocks such as “Automotive Applications and the Urban Environment”, “GNSS Jamming and Spoofing Mitigation”, “GNSS Jamming and Spoofing Detection”, “Receiver Autonomous Integrity Monitoring and GNSS Meta Signals”. Highlighting GMV's role in the development of cutting-edge solutions to today's satellite navigation challenges.

Irma Rodríguez, GMV's Director of Navigation Products and Services (NPS), also took part in the panel “Future Trends in Navigation”, dealing with the technological, operational and institutional outlook for the future of navigation. During her turn to speak she highlighted the future of navigation as an ecosystem based on three pillars - space-technology-based services, terrestrial networks and user-level intelligence - in which satellite navigation systems will play a key role in cohesion with other technologies.

GMV has been contributing to the development of satellite navigation for over 40 years, making it one of the main participants in the implementation of Europe's satellite navigation strategy. GMV's experience in this field and that of its professional teams has put it in a leading position both in the development of navigation systems and in various GNSS applications, where GMV has been a pioneer in the use of GPS, GLONASS, EGNOS and Galileo signals.
