This year’s event was attended by military and governmental officials, as well as by experts from business and industry, who met with the aim of promoting the space industry, sharing strategic information, forging alliances, and exploring new opportunities. The Space Symposium has become established as a key gathering place for defining new trends, and for encouraging the development of collaboration agreements for critical space missions.During the event, GMV was represented at the Spanish Pavilion through Spain’s foreign trade institute (ICEX). It also had a stand that it shared with Alén Space, a company from the GMV group, to showcase their latest solutions related to areas such as space mission control and efficient operations, satellite navigation, space sustainability, space surveillance, and space situational awareness. This year’s gathering took place in a context marked by rapid changes in the space industry, where space is increasingly seen as a strategic dual-use domain with a convergence of military and civilian interests. Given these circumstances, and the existence of a geopolitical scenario defined by accelerated development of dual-use technologies, there is clearly a need for close collaborations among all parties involved, to ensure that innovation will have a real, sustainable impact.
