GMV showcases its positioning solutions at ION GNSS+ 2026

GMV took part in ION GNSS+ 2026, one of the foremost international events dedicated to global navigation satellite system (GNSS) technologies and positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) solutions, held from September 14 to 18 in Orlando, Florida.

The company had its own exhibition space, where it showcased its capabilities in high-precision positioning, resilient navigation, and PNT technologies based on low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites.

Solutions on display included GMV GSharp^®, a high-precision GNSS positioning service with potential uses ranging from LEO satellite missions and vehicle systems to precision agriculture, robotics, and the maritime sector. GMV also presented its Galileo PRS capabilities, which leverage Europe’s encrypted navigation service for authorized government users and sensitive applications. 

Another highlight was Celeste IoD, a European Space Agency (ESA) demonstration mission exploring the use of a complementary layer of LEO satellites to enhance Galileo’s capabilities. GMV is leading one of the mission’s industrial developments and has built one of its first demonstration satellites.

Beyond the exhibition area, GMV contributed to more than a dozen papers, presentations, and sessions in the conference’s technical program. These covered the evolution of Galileo, signal integrity and authentication, AI-based interference detection and mitigation, LEO-PNT technologies, and high-precision positioning.
