GMV present at the latest MSPO

GMV participated as an exhibitor at the 23rd International Defence Industry Exhibition MSPO 2015, held from 1 to 4 September 2015 in Kielce, Poland.

This is the one of the defense sector’s most important events in Europe. It serves as a matchless forum for potential clients and suppliers and showcases the latest military technologies, armaments and products for the army.

As a tried-and-trusted supplier of international defense organizations and armed forces, GMV exhibited at this MSPO its solutions of engineering, design, development, integration and system-maintenance. Pride of place on GMV’s stand went to the eForce Fire C4ISTAR system, a project for the planning, management and execution of all fire support. Another standout exhibit was the Landing Craft Command and Control System (eForce SCE), for control, monitoring and coordination of the whole ship-to-shore phase of landing craft and amphibious vehicles during amphibious operations.

Within the JISR (Joint Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) area, as part of Spain’s participation in NATO’s MAJIIC project, GMV highlighted its inhouse Mobile ISTAR Operating system (called SEISMO after its Spanish initials: Sistema de Explotación ISTAR Móvil), the Coalition Shared Database (CSD) and Atenea (IRM&CM Tool); these systems compile information from multiple sources in various formats, furnishing intelligence analysts with the necessary tools for exchanging ISR information and establishing workflows to ensure proper interaction in all phases of the JISR cycle.

GMV also showcased other command and control and surveillance and reconnaissance systems it has developed for the Spanish MoD and international agencies such as the European Agency for the Management of Operational Cooperation at the External Borders of the Member States of the European Union (FRONTEX, shortened from the French Frontières extérieures).

 GMV also ran a stand displaying its latest developments in avionics systems, such as its participation in the ATLANTE program (development of an unmanned air vehicle – UAV – for ISTAR operations). Within the ATLANTE project GMV is responsible for the flight control computer (FCC), one of the most critical pieces of equipment of the whole project, seeing to the aircraft’s navigation, guidance and control. GMV is also responsible for the automatic takeoff and landing system (ATOL) of the ground station.

GMV’s stand was visited by some of the event’s most distinguished guests, including representatives of Poland’s Inspectorate for Innovative Defense Technologies, the Polish Army, the Spanish ambassador in Poland and the Military Technology University.
