Jornada Talento Fly News

On March 17, Fly News Magazine hosted the event “Let’s talk about aerospace talent,” bringing together professionals, companies, and institutions to examine one of the sector’s key challenges: how to attract, develop, and retain talent.

The event provided a platform for discussing the difficulties faced by the aerospace industry in retaining qualified talent, despite years of technological innovation and digital transformation. Under the theme “Empowering the people who make innovation in the sector possible,” the sessions explored tangible solutions aimed at strengthening Spain’s position as a hub for aerospace talent and curbing the outflow of professionals who choose to pursue their careers abroad.

María José Germán, Head of the People Strategy & Culture Team at GMV, took part in the panel discussion “New times, new profiles: The human capital challenge in the aerospace industry.”  During her remarks, she offered her perspective on attracting aerospace talent in today’s increasingly competitive market and emphasized the important factors this type of professional values: challenging projects, cutting-edge technology, and the chance to work alongside leading experts.

The event concluded with contributions from various educational institutions, which shared their views on how to overcome these challenges and support the development of professionals required by the aerospace industry.
